What does the annotation ABGETRETEN (“re-assigned”) mean on the property notices?

This means that the property notice has been forwarded to another Reichsgau (“Reich Region”) by the National Socialist authorities. The property notices were taken on by the Provincial Archives after 1945. In the case of the Reichsgau Niederdonau (“Reich Region Lower Danube”), the property notices are either located in the Provincial Archives of Lower Austria or in the Burgenländische Landesarchiv.
